OUR FARM
Over the last 15 years, our Farm has become one of the few examples of Entreprenurial Agricolture in central Italy. Beginning with two feral goats tied to a tree in 1988 to the 200+ herd of genetically selected goats present today, our original motives were and remain:
- to raise healthy animals in the most natural, wholesome way possibile, living a natural life-span, without the use of antibiotics, artificial feeds, costly housing or sofisticated farm equipment
- clear and riutilize farmland that has been abbandoned or that is unworkable by meccanical means
- improve the quality of poor soils without the use of chemical fertilizers
- increase unqualified local agricultural labor
- create qualified local artisan work
-commercialize a high-value-added niche-market finished product:
