BOLOGNESE DOGS

One of the few true Italian breeds, the Bolognese was the favorite companion dog of nobility during the Renaissance (and a popular court gift among the royal families of Spain, Russia, Italy and France), but became nearly extinct by the end of the 19th century. We became aware of this delightful breed in 1988, when there were only a couple of hundred in the whole country and were considered a near-extinct breed protected by the Italian Kennel Club, and we waited two long years to get our first. Since then we have had the good fortune to have had many, many wonderful pups and adults on our farm, and even more who have left for new homes flung far and wide over the globe (see 'Expat Dogs')
Don't let their size or fragile appearance mislead you - a Bolognese is a tough, sturdy little dog with no frills or special needs. Their joyous, bouyant personality makes them a delightful pet, and they are the ideal choice for families with small children and for elders as well. Their curly, non shed coat is low-maintenance and requires only regular combing and an occasional shampoo for special occasions. Small (up to 2.5 kg /5 lbs) and hardy, this dog is keenly intelligent, friendly, alert, affectionate and each one is a highly independent but totally dedicated family member!
The Bolognese breed is a constant source of joy and a delight - never whiny or yappy, their devotion is total and unconditional, and they repay a hundred-fold the time and affection you will invest in them. We receive streams of mail from people who have bought puppies from us to tell us how utterly unique and special each dog is. We currently have 4 adult females and one male, representing four separate bloodlines. We breed healthy, well-adjusted pets who live mostly outdoors and are in constant contact with our guests and visitors - these are not neurotic or pampered pets and they will fit into your family lifestle without skipping a beat! We do not raise our dogs in cages or kennels, and from birth they are in daily contact with family, guests, visitors to our farm, friends, and or course - our goats, making them easy-going 'people-dogs' who will fit into just about any situation just fine, thank you!
Our puppies are sold at between 60-90 days of age, including two sets of worming and first and second complete vaccinations, Rabies vaccination (if over three months), microchip, International passport, registration with the Italian Kennel Club, as well as documentation for export, transfer of ownership both with the national data base as well as the Kennel Club Registration.
We do NOT ship them alone and will sell only to private owners who will arrange transportation in the plane cabin.
We do not sell to shops or for resale.
